Helping students access educational opportunities
The ACES Scholarship Program provides educational assistance for eligible K-12 and postsecondary students when financial need may otherwise create a barrier.
Scholarship assistance may support eligible educational expenses including tuition, required fees, books, educational supplies, required equipment, educational technology, tutoring, testing, certification fees, and other approved educational expenses.
Each application is reviewed individually. Approval is based on eligibility, documented financial need, educational requirements, supporting documentation, available ACES funding, and Board approval.
1. Initial Scholarship Application
Applicants begin by submitting an initial application. If approved, ACES establishes an active scholarship account for the approved student.
2. Scholarship Funds Requests
After approval, the Applicant can request payment for specific eligible educational expenses through their scholarship account. Supporting documentation, such as a current invoice or tuition statement, may be required.
3. Annual Scholarship Renewal
Scholarships do not automatically renew. Applicants seeking continued assistance must complete the required renewal process for another scholarship year.
Applicants should gather student information, enrollment or acceptance verification, school or program information, educational costs, financial-need information, academic or educational-progress records, and other required supporting documents before beginning an application.
Providing complete and accurate information helps ACES review the application fairly and reduces delays caused by missing information.
When supporting documents are required, combine related documents into one PDF whenever possible.
